Do you know one can cause a lot of harm by concealing an ailment?  Yes, because the ailment may  be the serious type that requires urgent attention.  And rather than attend to it urgently and nip it in the bud, you conceal it, probably because you are shy, until it starts to manifest and you can no longer conceal it.
