BELLY FAT

Belly Fat is becoming a

very big problem, especially

for ladies. Some men also

wish to get rid of their belly

fat as well.


Everyone has belly fat, but

please note that apart from

the fact that it disfigures one,

too much of it affects one's

health.


You have fat right under

your skin, and more around

your liver, heart, etc. The

deeper fat called "visceral"

fat is the bigger problem,

even for slim people. Too

much fat causes high blood

pressure, type 2 diabetes,

heart disease, and certain

cancers.


Hormones play an important

role in regulating our

weight, and controlling how

body fat is stored.

Here are some ways and

means of burning belly fat,

as well as body fat.

1. If you reduce calories and

exercise more, you will lose

weight everywhere,

including your abdomen.

2. Adequate water intake, up

to 8 glasses and even more,

is extremely beneficial for

weight loss. A higher

consumption of water, apart

from helping you to eat

less, burns the fat in the

body for energy. So drink

plenty of water daily.

3. Cut down tremendously

on your carbohydrate intake.

Drink 2 glasses of water

before and after eating a

heavy meal (carbohydrate),

in order to control your

intake.

4. Thirty-five per cent of

your diet should come from

Protein (e.g. Beans, fish,

etc.) as it helps stabilize your

hormones, and keep you

feeling full without cravings.

More protein intake will not

only help you lose belly and

body fat, but will give you

better appetite control, and

better hormonal balance.

However eat less beaf and

more fish.

5. There are certain foods

that have hormone-boosting

abilities that work with

your body to burn fat.

(a) Cinnamon (a brown

powder that gives cakes a

yellow colour and special

taste) will help balance your

insulin, leading directly to

fat loss. Adding just a

teaspoon of Cinnamon to

your tea or coffee will

directly balance your

fat-burning hormones.

(b) Curry leave is another

fat-burner. It is anti-

inflammatory, antioxidant,

and helps regulate blood

sugar, and also detoxifies

fat-producing estrogen.

6. Eat at the same time

daily, because your body

learns to expect food at

these times, and your

insulin levels stay low.

7. Do not eat close to bed

time because eating raises

your body temperature

and slows the natural

process of burning fat

while you sleep.

Not eating for 3 hours

before going to bed allows

your body temperature to

cool for maximum fat

burning while you sleep.

(8) Please cut down

drastically on your minerals

and beer intake.

(9) Eat plenty of fruits and

vegetables.
